Spotlight Roots is an inclusive cultural celebration program that supports youth of any gender who wish to celebrate their Quinceañera or Sweet 16 in a way that reflects their cultural identity: Latino, African, Asian, or a blend of traditions.
Hosted by Familias Empoderadas, this program removes financial, cultural, and social barriers, ensuring every youth can experience a meaningful rite of passage rooted in heritage, confidence, and community pride.
The celebration includes:
Cultural workshops
Dance & movement sessions
Rituals and traditions from their culture
A community celebration event
Mentorship and empowerment activities
